Welcome to Your Trezor®
You're about to take full control of your digital assets with the most trusted hardware wallet. Trezor® gives you security, privacy, and complete ownership of your cryptocurrencies. Let’s walk through setting it up safely.
Open Trezor SuiteBefore You Begin
- Only buy Trezor® devices from official sources.
- Check for tampering – packaging should be sealed with a hologram.
- Never enter your seed phrase into websites, apps, or emails.
- Prepare a pen and paper to write down your recovery seed securely.
Security Best Practices
Securing your crypto starts with good habits. During setup:
- Set up in a private, offline location away from cameras.
- Write your recovery seed (24 words) by hand. Store it offline.
- Never store your seed digitally or in the cloud.
- Enable a PIN on your Trezor® device for added protection.
What is a Recovery Seed?
The recovery seed is your master key. If your Trezor® is lost or stolen, you can recover your funds using this phrase. If you lose the seed, your funds are permanently unrecoverable. Trezor® cannot help you retrieve them.
Phishing & Fake Websites
Trezor® support will never contact you unsolicited or ask for your seed. Always check that you're on the official domain: trezor.io. Watch out for fake sites like "trez0r.io" or "trezorwallet-support.com".
Bookmark suite.trezor.io to safely access your wallet.
Disclaimer
Trezor® is a self-custodial solution. You are 100% responsible for the protection of your recovery seed and access credentials. SatoshiLabs s.r.o., the manufacturer of Trezor®, is not liable for loss of funds due to user error, negligence, phishing, or other external risks.
